This Privacy Policy explains what information WriteMyDispute.com (operated by White Barn Digital, LLC — "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our model is simple: we collect what's needed to run the service and measure the site, and we don't sell your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
- Information you provide for letter generation. The details you type into the generator — your situation description, names, dates, amounts, desired outcome, and tone. You control what you enter; include only what's needed for your letter.
- Purchase information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your email address and transaction details (amount, plan, payment status). We never see or store your card number — that stays with Stripe, whose own privacy policy applies to payment processing.
- Usage and device information. Through the analytics tools below: pages visited, approximate location (city/region level), device and browser type, and how you interact with pages.
2. Analytics and Tracking Tools We Use
We use the following third-party tools on our production site. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking — page analytics, traffic sources, and purchase conversion measurement. Google may use cookies and similar technologies. You can opt out via Google's browser opt-out tools.
- Microsoft Clarity — session replay and heatmaps. Clarity captures how visitors interact with our pages (clicks, scrolling, navigation) to help us improve the site. We partner with Microsoft Clarity to capture this behavioral data and site usage metrics; Microsoft processes it per the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Netlify — our hosting provider, which processes standard server logs (IP addresses, request data) to deliver the site.
3. How Your Letter Inputs Are Processed
When you generate a letter, the information you entered is sent to our servers and processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce your document. Your generated letter is delivered to your browser; we do not maintain a database of your generated letters. We keep a minimal usage record tied to your purchase session (how many letters you've generated against your plan) to enforce plan limits.
Practical tip: Enter only the personal details your letter actually needs. Never enter Social Security numbers, full account credentials, or medical record numbers — your letter doesn't need them, and neither do we.
4. How We Use Information
- To generate your documents and deliver the service you purchased
- To process payments, enforce plan limits, and provide customer support
- To measure site performance, fix problems, and improve content
- To measure advertising effectiveness (e.g., whether a purchase followed an ad click)
- To prevent fraud and abuse and comply with legal obligations
5. What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not send marketing email lists — we contact you about your purchase and support requests.
- We do not share your letter inputs with anyone except the service providers necessary to generate and deliver your document, as described above.
6. Data Retention
Purchase records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. Plan-usage records persist for the life of your plan. Analytics data is retained per each provider's standard retention settings.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live (including California and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@writemydispute.com and we'll respond as the applicable law requires. You can also limit tracking with browser settings, ad-blocking tools, and Google's opt-out mechanisms.
8. Children
The Service is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Security
We use reputable infrastructure providers and industry-standard safeguards (HTTPS everywhere, payment processing isolated to Stripe, serverless functions with restricted access). No system is perfectly secure, and you use the Service at your own risk.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
